David loves photography, dance and all things aesthetically pleasing. Hailing from the tropical island of Singapore, he hung up his dancing shoes eight years ago to pursue his interest in graphic design in London.

After graduating from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design with a BA in Graphic Design, he spent a year and a half exploring future trends as Art Editor at The Future Laboratory, Europe’s leading trend forecasting company, where he worked on projects for clients such as Nokia, Gap, Investec, Lamborghini and MySpace. He was also Art Editor for Viewpoint magazine.

Winner of Singapore’s Young Designers’ Award in 1997 and 1998, David also received a DesignSingapore scholarship in 2005. He was recently featured on Channel News Asia’s documentary Beyond the Dot, in which he shared with viewers his passion for design and photography.

David is also the Associate Artist and Designer for Cake Theatrical Productions, where he is in charge of the creative design for all of Cake Theatre’s production such as Queen Ping, Nothing (Winner of Production of the Year, ST Life! Theatre Awards 2008) and Temple (commissioned by Singapore Arts Festival and Napoli Teatro Festival Italia 2008).

David graduated with Distinction from the Master of Arts in Graphic Design course at the London College of Communication in December 2008, and is currently a Visual Communication Lecturer at Temasek Design School, Temasek Polytechnic.
