In Lost Cinema, directed by Brian Gothong Tan, deconstructs tropes found in Asian filmography and looks in particular at three iconic films: Wong Kar-Wai’s In the Mood for Love (Hong Kong, 2000), Eric Khoo’s 12 Storeys (Singapore, 1997) and Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s Tropical Malady (Thailand, 2004). The experimental two-week project in the Earl Lu Gallery combines a six-channel video installation with live performances by actors Ma Yanling (Singapore) and Sun Phittaya Phaefuang (Thailand).
